Welcome to the 2019–2020 School Year

Rodriguez Broadnax, SuperintendentWelcome to the 2019–2020 school year. I trust you are having a great summer and you are getting some much needed rest and relaxation. Wow, it is hard to believe we are only a month and a day from the start of a new school year. This letter comes to inform you of some of the
great changes within the Noxubee County School District and to notify you of some important dates as we begin the school year. I am excited to work with such an amazing group of talented educators in my second year in Noxubee County. I look forward to coming to work each day to work with all of you. I am expecting great things out of all of you this upcoming school year.

As we begin the school year, let’s remember to our focus on our precious jewels, which are our students. Let’s come to work each day to ensure we transform the lives of those around us including but not limited to our students, parents and community members. We have great students, talented administrators and teachers and a great group of parents within our learning community; therefore, our new theme for this school year is “ROARING TO SUCCESS.” This theme was developed and designed by our administrative team at our planning and work sessions. We also have developed core values, strategic plan “Operation NCSD 2025”, new mission and vision statements, new motto and new logo as seen at the top of this letterhead. Moving forward, everything we do should focus on the strategic plan. We will need to take the plan off of the paper and  ensure it is a reality in every school, classroom and department. We are all held accountable to ensure our students receive a rigorous and high level education. I would like to thank you in advance for helping us ROAR to SUCCESS. You will receive a copy of all of the new rebranding documents. Please read, review and be able to articulate each of these. We will also launch the district’s new website in the coming weeks, which leads to our new email domain which is An example of your new email address will be With the development and implementation of this domain, we are taking ownership in our school district.

Below, please find administrative assignments for the 2019 – 2020 school year. We are fortunate to have the best team I have ever assembled throughout my career in any state throughout the country.
